When I booked our hotel in Hall's Gap, Grampians, the manager assured me we'd see kangas. She was right -- there's a large herd on the other side of the parking lot and four ouside our window tonight! The way they jump is quite startling, and it's quite a sight to see them bounding across a field. They are nocturnal so you rarely see them in the daytime.
